About me
With over 20 years’ experience in education, I am a qualified primary school teacher, SENDCo and specialist dyslexia teacher. I now tutor and assess full-time, supporting children and young people to thrive and feel confident as learners.
Based in south Bristol, I offer specialist 1:1 tuition for children and young people with a wide range of SEND needs. I provide tailored sessions to boost literacy & numeracy confidence, using proven, multi-sensory techniques.
I can also provide full diagnostic dyslexia assessments, as a qualified dyslexia assessor. I hold a Level 7 dyslexia assessor qualification, have a current APC & am a Dyslexia Guild member (MDG).

Diagnostic Dyslexia Assessment
Following questionnaires for home and school to complete, a range of assessments will be carried out, to determine your child’s areas of strengths and areas of difficulty. Assessments can be carried out in your home or at your child’s school. Evidence from questionnaires, performance on the day and data from the assessments may suggest your child has a specific learning difficulty such as dyslexia.
Whether an assessment results in a diagnosis or not, you will receive a comprehensive report detailing your child’s cognitive profile and recommendations on how best to support your child which can be shared with school and other professionals as necessary.
Tutoring Services
Typically working from your own home, I offer bespoke support for your child, depending on need. For learners with dyslexia, I offer a carefully tailored programme to support literacy development, following a structured programme. For other learners, gaps in knowledge will be identified and addressed as needed.
I also offer online tuition using a fun, interactive teaching platform that is designed to keep learners engaged and motivated.
