I have a very flexible approach to tutoring and will work with you and your child to find the approach that works best for you. Some children follow a structured programme that I plan and create specific resources for. Others prefer to see what pops up in their week and focus on a certain skill or topic that they found challenging in the week.
In my experience, happy, relaxed children make the best learners. I therefore make learning as engaging as possible through games and activities that appeal to their unique interests.
Face-to-face Tutoring
Tutoring takes place in your own home in a quiet place, free from distractions. I provide a range of activities and resources that will be needed in a session although it is useful if your child has a pen or pencil and some paper handy.
Online Tutoring
Using an interactive online teaching platform, I aim to reproduce sessions I would deliver face-to-face in an online way! Sessions involve interactive games and tasks that help motivate and engage your child. Your child will have a simple avatar character (and a pet dragon!) and will navigate worlds I create, exploring learning activities and tasks on the way.
